The Story Behind QueenDee's
My name is Akouyo Delali "Dee" Ampiah, founder of QueenDee's Braids & Locs, proudly serving the Spring, TX community. We are a family-run beauty business specializing in African hair braiding, microlocks, and loc maintenance services, with a strong clientele in Harris County and beyond.
My braiding journey began in Togo during my middle school years, where braiding was both a cultural expression and a creative outlet. After emigrating to the United States in 2008, I continued developing my craft in Greensboro, NC, then built a strong reputation in Baton Rouge, LA from 2017 to 2022.
Now, with over 20 years of experience, QueenDee's has flourished into a faith-driven salon brand in Spring. I proudly carry the heritage of both Togo and Ghana, and my foundation in Christ has shaped this business from day one.
Beyond styling, what I cherish most is the human connection. Serving clients from all walks of life has refined patience, empathy, and grace in me. Every head I touch is more than a client; it is a story, a relationship, and a chance to uplift someone one crown at a time.
